Mistakes you should NEVER make
I have made some mistakes in my businesses.
Some of them have cost me a LOT of money.
Some of them were annoying to fix later on.
Some of them could have been avoided by consulting with the right professionals EARLIER.
When therapists are starting their practice, they worry about business structure, figuring out taxes, and how they will pay themselves.
But taxes, business structure, budgeting, salary, and savings strategies… these are not things you set up once and never have to think about again.
As your practice grows and thrives, it is critical to revisit your business structure, your tax strategies, and examine what you’re paying yourself. That is why I have put together a panel of experts to answer your questions. Sit down with an attorney, an accountant, and a CFO-for-hire for solutions specific to your practice at my in-person event in Chicago on January 23rd from 10am-12pm.
When it comes to tax and business structure questions, I can share what I’ve done, but I always advise the therapists who work with me to ask their attorney and accountant. Meeting with an Attorney, Accountant, and CFO-for-hire on your own would cost you $1000+ just to get in the door. This is an opportunity to invest in the details that fit your business at a tenth of the cost.
Who is this event for?
Therapists with an established private practice who are ready to:
- Lower their tax burden
- Develop a retirement savings strategy (and implement it)
- Give themselves more paid vacation time
- Make sure their business structure is still right for their practice
- Have a plan for the ups and downs so they still get paid
I know things get a little chaotic this time of year, but before you head out of the office to take a much needed break, secure your spot at the table.
Join me, along with other therapists in your community, to reexamine the foundation of your business and make January the start to your best year yet.

P.S. If you’re not in Chicago and would like me to facilitate this sort of event in your city, please reply and let me know where you are, what kind of event you’d like to have, and how you can help host it.
